RETURNS & CANCELLATONS

We hope that you will be delighted with your purchase. We take care to describe and photograph every item accurately, including its condition and any significant signs of age or wear.

We understand, however, that there may be occasions when you need to cancel an order or return an item.

Online & distance purchases

If you purchase an item from us online, by telephone or by another form of distance communication, you will normally have the right to cancel your purchase under UK consumer law.

You may notify us that you wish to cancel at any time from placing your order until 14 days after the day on which you receive the item.

Once you have notified us of your decision to cancel, the item must normally be returned to us within a further 14 days.

Returning an item

Please contact us before arranging a return so that we can provide the appropriate return details.

Unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, the cost and responsibility for returning it to us rests with the buyer. As many of our pieces are furniture, we strongly recommend using a suitable professional furniture courier.

Items should be returned to us in the same condition in which they were received and should be appropriately protected while in transit.

Refunds

Once an item has been returned, we will issue any refund due in accordance with your statutory rights.

Where you have exercised your right to cancel a distance purchase, we will refund the purchase price together with the cost of our least expensive standard delivery service, where applicable. Any additional delivery cost resulting from your choice of an enhanced or more expensive delivery service is not refundable.

We may withhold the refund until the item has been returned to us, or until you provide evidence that it has been sent back, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will normally be made using the same method of payment used for the original purchase.

Items damaged in transit, faulty or not as described

If an item arrives damaged, or you believe that it is faulty or materially different from its description, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide photographs of the item, together with photographs of any packaging where relevant. We will work with you to resolve the matter promptly and, where appropriate, arrange return or collection at our cost.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

Purchases made in person

The statutory right to cancel a distance purchase does not generally apply where an item is purchased in person at our premises after viewing it.

We therefore encourage customers viewing in person to take the opportunity to inspect a piece carefully before purchasing. We are always happy to answer questions about its age, construction, condition or restoration.
