We want buying antique furniture to feel as straightforward as possible. Collection is always welcome by arrangement, and we can usually organise delivery throughout mainland UK using trusted independent couriers.

Collection

Collection from our premises in North Yorkshire, close to the Lancashire border, is welcome by prior arrangement.

 

We will make sure your item is ready for collection and can provide any useful access information in advance. If you are arranging your own courier, please let us know so that we can coordinate collection directly with them.

 

Delivery

 

For most pieces, we can arrange delivery throughout mainland UK using experienced independent furniture couriers.

 

Delivery is charged at cost and will vary depending on the size of the item and the delivery location. As a general guide, delivery for an average-sized chest of drawers to a ground floor location is typically around £80–£100. Larger pieces, multiple-item deliveries and more remote locations may cost more.

Delivery times

​

Most deliveries are completed within approximately two weeks, although timings will depend on the courier’s route and your location. Faster delivery may sometimes be possible, so if you have a particular timescale in mind, please ask and we will do our best to help..

Our standard delivery service is not usually arranged for a specified day at the time of purchase. The courier will normally contact you directly in advance to confirm the proposed delivery arrangements and provide notice of delivery.

Standard delivery is to the ground floor unless otherwise agreed in advance. If your item needs to be carried upstairs or there are any particular access requirements, please let us know when requesting your delivery quotation.

Access

​

Antique furniture can be larger and heavier than modern furniture, so please check that the item will fit through doorways, staircases and any other restricted access points before purchasing.

 

Dimensions are provided within each listing, and we are always happy to provide additional measurements if required.

 

On delivery

 

Please inspect your item as soon as reasonably possible following delivery.

 

If you believe that an item has been damaged in transit, please contact us promptly and provide photographs of the item and any packaging. We will then work with you and the courier to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
