This is an attractive set of four Louis XVI-style late 19th/ early 20th century French walnut and parcel gilt side chairs. Each with an arched back, stop-fluted tapering supports and all-over carved detail with parcel gilt highlights. The back and seat upholstered in pale gold silk damask. One with a label on the back for a Christie’s auction, 1989.

  • 97cm high x 55cm wide x 62cm deep

  • There are light knocks and wear to frames. There are some very tiny chips and losses including several finials. There is light wear and marks to upholstery and one chair has a couple of larger stains. The joints are sound and overall the chairs are in relatively good order.

We can usually arrange delivery with a third party courier on behalf of the buyer. Typical costs are around £80 - £100 within mainland UK for an average-sized chest of drawers and may take up to 14 days, unless an expediated service is required. Costs will be higher for larger items and remote locations. Although we do everything possible to ensure that items arrive safely, we cannot be held responsible for damage incurred after items leave our premises.

Collections are welcomed by prior arrangement from our address in Worcestershire.

REFUNDS & RETURNS

Full refunds will be provided for all items returned in the same condition as they were sold within 30 days of purchase.
