Not a true antique, but the next best thing: this is a very large Georgian-style painted dresser by the renowned Chalon kitchen company. The base houses drawers above cupboards with shelves with a dark wooden worktop. The drawers have antique brass knobs and the doors lock with individual brass keys. The top part features two shelves, the top of which is grooved out for holding plates. The piece has been refinished with the characteristic Chalon distressing and enhanced further with crackle-effect paint emulating the age and wear that would be expected on an original Georgian piece. The worktop has been stained and distressed and finished with oil and wax.
 
245cm x 204.5cm x 49cm. The dresser dismantles into two pieces and the base can be separated further into three component cupboards plus the worktop.
