This is an elegant 19th century French Boulle work ebonised jardinière side table. The galleried top with lift-out lid above the apron with boulle and inset with Sèvres-style painted porcelain plaques, raised on turned and fluted supports united by a wavy cross stretcher with central urn.

  • 81cm high x 75cm wide and 45cm wide deep.

  • There are scratches, marks and knocks commensurate with age and use. There are moderate losses to the boulle work, including losses to all of the inlay of lift-out lid and part of the foliate scrollwork of the apron on some sides. There is some wear to the brass and ebonised finish on the sides and a historic wear to the join between one of the stretchers and the central section. The plant liner that would have sat under the lid is missing. Overall fair cosmetic condition (‘faded grandeur!’) but still attractive and structurally sound.

DELIVERY

We can usually arrange delivery with a third party courier on behalf of the buyer. Typical costs are around £80 - £100 within mainland UK for an average-sized chest of drawers and may take up to 14 days, unless an expediated service is required. Costs will be higher for larger items and remote locations. Although we do everything possible to ensure that items arrive safely, we cannot be held responsible for damage incurred after items leave our premises.

Collections are welcomed by prior arrangement from our address in Worcestershire.

REFUNDS & RETURNS

Full refunds will be provided for all items returned in the same condition as they were sold within 30 days of purchase.
