This is an attractive large 19th century French fruitwood farmhouse kitchen/ dining table. The top of two impressive wide planks, raised on tapered square legs with shaped brackets.
19th century French fruitwood farmhouse dining table
76cm high x 227cm long x 89cm wide
There are various and expected scratches, marks and knocks commensurate with age and use. It would previously have had a pull-out breadboard at on end which is not present. The table has evidence of some sympathetic restoration, including regluing the planks of the top together to ensure there is no gap, and raising of the feet on blocks to accommodate modern dining chair height. The planks fit snuggly together and there is no movement in the joints. This is a solid table of very useful proportions in good usable condition.
